CROSS-STITCH: Home Sweet Home

This Cross-stitch was made for Jocelyn & Laurie as a Christmas and housewarming gift to celebrate moving in to their new home. The lettering was sourced from a fantastic Leisure Arts book 'Alphabets Galore' which is great to refer to for any special occasion cross-stitch piece. I hope they hang it above the old antique wooden telephone in their living room, it looked great! (Height - 18cm) (Photographer - Ben Redlich)

CLASSIC CUTS: Ms. Audrey Hepburn - Breakfast at Tiffany's

This medium sized Classic lady is the lovely 'Ms Audrey Hepburn'. I made her for my friend Tammy for her birthday. I was so inspired after visiting the 'Valentino' exhibition at GOMA I decided to challenge myself to make a tiny version of her wearing the 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' dress. (Height - 25cm)

SOFTIES: The Lookout - Pink

This medium sized Softie was also made for my friend's niece Pembrook for her birthday. She is a fan of the colour pink so I made it in the brightest pink I could find. (Height - 25cm)

This tiny Softie was made for my friend Louisa for her birthday. I'm hoping to see some of her personal crafty creations in the near future! (Height - 7.5cm)

This tiny Softie was also made for my friend Phoebe for her bithday. It is a pocket sized gem anyone can carry with them anytime! Thank you for patiently waiting for this one. (Height - 8cm)

SEAMPUNK: Rubik's Cube

This is my first 'Seampunk' entry...to be continued. I was so excited to make this soft 'Rubik's Cube' for my brother Aiden's birthday! He loves the challenge of each and every one of these puzzles so I asked him if he would like it to be made finished or mixed up. He said "finished" so I started on it straight away...sewing blanket stitch around each square? I wanted to leave 1 different coloured square on each side just to annoy him but I resisted the urge. (Height - 9cm) ...stay tuned for 'Ludley'!

This tiny Softie was a smaller version of a 'Twinkle' I recently made for a friend. I like the different shapes in the wool...it gives her perfect knees and elbows. (Height - 27cm)

RIBBONS: New

These are a few Ribbons I bought to use on invitations and other crafty creations. The thin purple one is a french 'Classique' ribbon that I found at a store in Paddington. I had a crazy 'impulse buy' moment and bought the rest of the reel...I spent a little too much.

TRIMMINGS: Lace

These are a few old lace Trimmings I have had stashed away for years...I'm just waiting for the right thing to use them on.

TRIMMINGS: Old

These are a few old Trimmings I have had stored away for years. I have only just started using some of them on the Softies toys. I really like the coloured one because it reminds me of the cothes I used to wear when I was a child.

SOFTIES: Tooth With a Crown - Crushed Velvet

This small Softie was made for my niece Rachel May after she had a not so enjoyable dental experience. Hopefully it will encourage her to have a positive dental experience in the future! (Height - 16cm)

This medium sized Softie was quite easy to make. The hardest part was sewing the straight stitch evenly from each of the mouth stitches. I managed to find some large rickrack to use for the waves which was perfect! I like the simple design and how effective it is when it's completed. (Height - 25cm)

FELT: A String of Felt Friends

This tiny String of Felt Friends was made for my friend's daughter Clementine for her 2nd birthday. (Height - 15cm)

DESIGN: Wooden Fan

This is a wooden fan I decorated...also designed for a very special occasion last year. I painted it silver, threaded new purple ribbon through the top and hand beaded the tassel attached to the loop. (Photographer - Toni Snell)

DESIGN: Clutch Purse with French Chantilly Lace

This is a clutch purse with a small piece of purple French Chantilly Lace sewn onto it...also designed for a very special occassion last year. My Aunty kindly hand stitched the lace on for me which was very much appreciated. (Photographer - Toni Snell)

LACE: French Chantilly Lace

This is a beautiful piece of purple French Chantilly Lace...that was incorporated into a very special dress design last year. I instantly fell in love with it when I found it in a store and just couldn't put it down until I made the decision to purchase a little bit!

This medium sized Softie was made for Ben for his birthday from his Grandma's old fabric. It is durable, soft and stretchy so it was really nice to work with...I love old fabric! (Height - 42cm)

SOFTIES: Georgette the Elephant Queen & Victor the Giraffe

This photo was taken just before I gift wrapped the Softies to give to the girls. Within 1 minute of unwrapping them Victor's ear was being chewed and another child had run off with Georgette! That's what toys go through everyday...
